RECOMMENDATION: No objection to the issuance of permit for security perimeter as shown in supplemental drawings and information received and dated 28 October 2005.

RECOMMENDATION: No objection to the issuance of permit for new accessibility ramp as shown in drawings received and dated 4 November 2005.

RECOMMENDATION: No objection to the issuance of permit for new sign as shown in drawings received and dated 4 November 2005.

RECOMMENDATION: Project outside of the jurisdiction of the Shipstead-Luce Act. However, project will be reviewed as a direct submission as required for projects initiated by the District of Columbia government. See consent calendar for recommendation.

RECOMMENDATION: Recommend AGAINST the issuance of permit for proposed projecting sign as shown in drawings received and dated 4 November 2005. No objection to the issuance of permit for proposed awnings. File revised submission with permit application for review by the Commission when ready.

RECOMMENDATION: No objection to the general concept of the proposed renovation and addition as shown in drawings received and dated 4 November 2005, including replacement of side door with a window, the addition of a skylight and new window. Suggest continued development of dormer on addition, including a possible reduction in height, to create a more appropriately scaled condition.

RECOMMENDATION: Recommend AGAINST the issuance of permit for proposed sign replacement as shown in drawings received and dated 4 November 2005. Recommend new window signs remain the same size as existing signs with more subtle background color. File revised submission with permit application for review by the Commission when ready.

RECOMMENDATION: No objection to the issuance of permit for 2-story addition and deck as shown in drawings received and dated 4 November 2005.

RECOMMENDATION: No objection to the issuance of permit for signs and sidewalk renovation as shown in drawings received and dated 4 November 2005. Complies with previously approved concept.

RECOMMENDATION: No objection to the revised concept for renovation and additions as shown in drawings received and dated 4 November 2005 with the following exceptions. Replacement windows should match the profile and degree of daylight opening of existing windows. The proposed railing should have additional study and a mock-up for review. Visibility of revised structural elements in the corner should be minimized. Please coordinate with staff to continue review of this project prior to submission for permit.

RECOMMENDATION: No objection to the issuance of permit for signs and lighting as shown in drawings received and dated 4 November 2005. Any changes or revisions must be submitted to Commission for review. Refer to Historic Preservation Office and National Capital Planning Commission.
