RECOMMENDATION: Returned without Action. Case has been inactive for a period of time. File new submission of separate permit application for new mechanical equipment installed not-conforming to approved design (O.G. 07-061) no later than the 15 November 2007 deadline for review at the 6 December Old Georgetown Board meeting. RECOMMENDATION: No objection to revised concept design for Multi-sport facility at the Georgetown University with stadium lights no taller than 80-ft high as shown in supplemental drawings dated 21 September 2007. File new submission of working drawings, including dimensions, details and material samples, with permit application for review by the Commission when ready. Proposed design for new Athletic Training Facility was deleted from this concept application.

RECOMMENDATION: No objection to concept design for proposed alterations, including enclosure of walkway, marquee, awnings and signs as shown in supplemental drawings dated 21 September 2007. Awnings must fit within the masonry opening. File new submission of working drawings, including dimensions and details, with permit application for review by the Commission when ready.

RECOMMENDATION: Recommend AGAINST concept design for proposed terrace above first floor addition as shown in drawings. Request applicant to remove the flagpoles that were attached at the second floor without review by the Commission or approval.

RECOMMENDATION: No objection to issuance of permit for proposed landscape plan, including Balustrade benches and Gretchen litter receptacle, and for Hekowa single light fixtures over wall mounted signs on facade of building, as shown in supplemental drawings dated 29 August 2007. Wrought iron fence to replace existing is submitted under case O.G. 07-278. Note: Because the application is pending final zoning review, any subsequent modifications to the approved design must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval.

RECOMMENDATION: No objection to issuance of permit to replace existing asphalt shingles at roof and dormers with Hunter Green coated steel panels per attached specification. RECOMMENDATION: Recommend AGAINST concept design for proposed roof access stairs and roof decks with railing and lattice screens which will be visible from public thoroughfare and will be out-of-character with the historic house and district.

RECOMMENDATION: No objection to issuance of permit for proposed sign atop storefront reading "L'Eclat de Verre" and projecting banner at alley as shown in drawings dated 9 October 2007. Note: Because the application is pending final zoning review, any subsequent modifications to the approved design must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval.

RECOMMENDATION: No objection to issuance of permit for sign scheme for Starbucks Coffee including recovering the existing awnings and adding one over the entry doors, lettering limited to three valances, no graphics on end panels and only one logo sign facing M Street, as shown in supplemental drawings dated 15 October 2007. Note: Because the application is pending final zoning review, any subsequent modifications to the approved design must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval.

RECOMMENDATION: No objection to issuance of permit for proposed sign scheme for Bo Concept including back-lit stainless-steel letters with the "B", "C", "p" and "t" no larger than 15 3/8 inches high and wall mounted to front façade and one non-illuminated projecting sign on alley as shown in supplemental drawing dated 18 October 2007. Projecting sign on M St was NOT approved and is deleted from this permit application. Existing signs and light fixtures will be removed. Note: Because the application is pending final zoning review, any subsequent modifications to the approved design must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval.

RECOMMENDATION: No objection to issuance of permit for proposed alterations and landscape plan including curb, front stair, basement stair at southeast corner of house, and rear garden walls and paving including fountain as shown in supplemental drawings dated 12 October 2007 which deleted driveway, parking court, and lighting in front/side yard trees from this application. Note: Because the application is pending final zoning review, any subsequent modifications to the approved design must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval.

RECOMMENDATION: No objection to issuance of permit and Public Space permit for proposed replacement of fence on public space with wrought iron fence and gate no taller than 42-inches high.
