Dear Mr. Van Dop:

During its meeting of 18 November 2004, the Commission reviewed and approved the final design for the replacement of the Southern Avenue Bridge over Suitland Parkway. Although the Commission regrets the replacement of the existing bridge, the revised design is improved and takes into account the oblique angle from which the bridge is typically viewed.

The Commission looks forward to the review of other projects for the Federal Highway Administration. As always, the staff is available should you require guidance.
