28 November 2005 Dear Mr. McGill: In the last meeting of 17 November, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed the temporary installation of circular and rectangular planters to provide perimeter security to the Internal Revenue Service building located at 1111 Constitution Avenue, NW. The members approved the proposed planters, which will match those along 10th and 12th Streets, for a temporary period to extend no more than three years. The Commission looks forward to the review of the design for a more permanent resolution of security barriers for the IRS building and the Federal Triangle as soon as it is in concept stage. As always, the Commission staff is available should you require further guidance. Sincerely, /s/Thomas Luebke, AIA Michael McGill cc: David W. Gowin, FMA, IRS Last Modified: January 17, 2006
