Dear Mr. Lebryk:

At its meeting on 19 January, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed designs for the obverse of the first four designs for the Presidential $1 Coin.

The preference was for the beaded edge, as shown in Design #2, with the dates displayed symmetrically on the same horizontal line, as shown in Design #3.
