Dear Mr. Russo:

In the meeting of 15 June, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed and approved the final plans for the new physical fitness facility for the National Defense University on the grounds of Fort McNair. The Commission found that the final plans conformed to the approved concept design and that the additional refinement of the decorative brick banding was acceptable. If there are any subsequent changes to the exterior design of the new building, please contact the staff for additional assistance on the necessity to re-submit the design.

The Commission looks forward to the review of other projects for the Military District of Washington and, as always, the Commission staff is available should you require further guidance.
