Dear Major Bomahoski:

In the meeting of 16 March, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed and approved the revised concept design for a new Coast Guard Station on Bolling Air Force Base located at Giovannoli Street and McGuire Avenue, S.W. The members found the design proposal for the two-story, two-phase project to be an improvement from the previous one-story scheme reviewed in May 2005.

For subsequent submissions of construction plans for Phases I and II, the members delegated the review to the staff and requested that samples of the building's exterior materials be submitted along with plans for the building's landscaping. As always, the staff is available to assist you and to help coordinate the final submittal.
