** Note for Old Georgetown Act submissions: Applications must be filed by close of business on the day of the submission deadline at D.C. Department of Consumers and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA), Permit Processing Division (941 North Capitol Street, N.E. in Room 2300). DCRA will forward the applications and submission materials to the Commission of Fine Arts.

Old Georgetown submissions are first reviewed by the Commission of Fine Arts' Old Georgetown Board then forwarded to the Commission with the Board's comments and recommended actions. The Commission takes the official action on Old Georgetown Act submissions. Approximately six business days after the Commission meeting, the Old Georgetown permit applications and recommendations are forwarded to the D.C. Historic Preservation Office for their review and processing, and then sent back to DCRA. Once a permit application is retuned to DCRA and made available, the applicant must continue through the remainder of the D.C. Government building permit process.

† Note: In December, the Old Georgetown Act Appendix listing the submissions and recommended actions will be circulated to the Commission members for approval. Submissions that require a presentation to the Commission will be deferred to the next scheduled meeting of the Commission.
