Gerald A. Purcell, AIA, was a registered architect and worked as an architect-engineer and liaison officer for the District of Columbia Department of Buildings and Grounds. He was designated by the D.C. government to serve on the Old Georgetown Board following the resolution of the legal jurisdiction of the Commission of Fine Arts in the Georgetown historic district.
