Thomas Joseph Stohlman, AIA, earned a bachelor of architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. He worked for the Washington, D.C., architecture firms of Chatelain, Gauger & Nolen and Walter G. Peter Jr. before establishing his own architectural practice in Washington in 1964. He was active in the Washington, D.C., chapter of the American Institute of Architects, including serving as president in 1967.
