Letter
Dear Ms. Wright:
In its meeting of 21 October, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed a revised concept submission for modifications to the E Street (south) facade of the General Services Administration headquarters building at 1800 F Street, NW, to accommodate retail uses with associated revisions to the E Street entrance.
The Commission did not take an action, reiterating its comments from the previous submission in June 2010 (see enclosed letter dated 25 June 2010), and requested that the project be resubmitted as a concept with adequate documentation as previously requested. The Commission encouraged the applicant to meet jointly with the staffs of the Commission of Fine Arts and the D.C. Historic Preservation Office for consultation prior to resubmitting the project for Commission review.
As always, the staff is available to assist you.
Sincerely,
/s/Thomas E. Luebke, AIA
