Letter
Dear Ms. Stanwich:
In its meeting of 16 July, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed and approved the revised design of the directional and exhibition signs for the National Archives Building at 700 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. The Commission members expressed appreciation for the changes in response to their comments made in the previous review. They remarked that the revised graphics are much improved and now more appropriate for such a dignified public institution, and that the signs flanking the north entrance are better located so as not to obscure the existing decorative features surrounding the doorway.
As always, the staff is available to assist the National Archives with future submissions.
Sincerely,
/s/Thomas E. Luebke, AIA
