Recommend AGAINST issuance of permit for proposed Weathershield replacement window which is not appropriate to this historic building. Recommend repair of existing historic windows or replacement with wood single-glazed double-hung window sash replicas matching existing profile and dimensions, re-using salvaged original wavy glass, and with new cord, pulleys and weights. No objection to issuance of permit for proposed replacement of front door with six panel wood door with bronze threshold and for new operable wood louvered shutters as shown in supplemental drawings dated 22 November 2011.
