No objection to concept design for alterations to concrete driveway and apron on public space for new brick pavers in a herringbone pattern laid on edge in a sand setting bed as shown in supplemental drawings dated 22 June 2012. Recommend that width of driveway be limited to opening between piers to increase area of tree bed. Recommend that arborist be involved during development of the project and its construction to protect street tree from damage. File new submission of working drawings, including dimensions, details and report from arborist, with permit application for review by the Commission. Refer to the DC Department of Transportation Public Space Management Branch and the Office of Planning Public Space Committee.
