Recommendation

No objection to issuance of permit for proposed alterations to rear, including 12-feet-wide parking pad on a permeable sand and gravel base, two 4-feet- wide planting beds, lattice fence, sunken terrace, new fenestration at basement, relocation of wood stairs, and new landscaping per supplemental drawings received 17 November 2015 which indicate sunken terrace is permeable on a sand and gravel base, new doors and windows are all-wood with 7/8-inch-wide muntins, number of light fixtures is reduced and lanterns are no taller than 14 inches.  Note:  Any subsequent modifications to the approved design, including those made during DCRA technical review, must be resubmitted to the Commission for approval prior to the issuance of a permit.
