Recommendation
The Commission regrets that alterations, including replacement windows, shutters, garage door, light fixtures, railings, vents and exposed plumbing were completed without review or permit. Recommend AGAINST alterations per drawings 22 October 2015. The replacement of the windows is not consistent with previous permit recommendation to repair the original windows (see OG 13-221). The Commission recommends that all alterations, which are not appropriate to the character of the original building and the historic district, be removed and the elements be restored to their original condition. File new submission at DCRA of detailed and dimensioned drawings, including existing and proposed plans and elevations, architectural details and cut-sheets for the windows, shutters, garage door and light fixtures, with permit application for review by the Commission.
