Recommendation

Recommend AGAINST the issuance of a permit for the installation of an insulated ductwork gooseneck extension, intended to reduce or eliminate the plume emitted by an existing, previously approved boiler stack on the grounds of the Watergate complex, as shown in materials received and dated 3 January 2020, due to its inappropriate character and visibility. Forward a new submission for an alternate, less visible solution for the reduction or elimination of the plume when ready. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.
