Recommendation
No objection to the issuance of a permit for the installation of four replacement exterior wall-mounted light fixtures at an existing bank building, as shown in materials received and dated 3 November 2023, pending the receipt of supplemental materials. Recommend AGAINST the issuance of a permit for the installation of two new exterior wall-mounted light fixtures, as shown in materials received and dated 3 November 2023, due to their inappropriate prominence and lack of suitability with the existing main entrance door surround. The five remaining light fixtures in the scope of work are interior to the building and are not subject to Shipstead-Luce Act review. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design, including those made during DOB technical review, must be resubmitted to the Commission for approval.
