Recommendation
No objection to the issuance of a permit for the installation of flagstone pavers on existing concrete stair risers and treads and existing lead walk, the installation of concrete topping over an existing concrete walkway connecting to the basement, and improvements to the landscape in the front yard of an existing house, as shown in materials received and dated 5 July 2024, PROVIDED that the concrete cheek walls at the steps be repaired or replaced in kind rather than covered with stone. Staff notes with regret that the construction of the proposed work has been largely completed without the issuance of a permit and without CFA review, and that a stop work order was issued.
