Recommendation
No objection to the concept for the installation of replacement windows, doors, and railings, a new roof deck and metal railing, and a steel awning above the entry door, and for modifications to window and door openings, as shown in materials received and dated 7 July 2025 and supplemental materials received and dated 15 July 2025, PROVIDED that the roof deck is not visible from Cathedral Avenue, NW, the National Zoo, or Rock Creek and Potomac Parkway, and pending the receipt of supplemental materials and the review by CFA and HPO staff of an on-site pole test to be provided by the applicant. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design, including those made during DOB technical review, must be resubmitted to the Commission for approval.
