Dear Mr. Hollis:

In its public meeting of 19 February conducted by videoconference, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed designs for a Congressional Gold Medal honoring the renowned tennis player and activist Billie Jean King. Consistent with the preference of the honoree, the Commission members recommended obverse #6A, showing Ms. King in a moment of focused, dynamic action. They also expressed support for reverse #7, depicting a laurel wreath framing text from the authorizing legislation, as well as her signature.

As always, the staff is available to assist you with future submissions.

Sincerely,
/s/Thomas E. Luebke, FAIA
