No objection to issuance of permit for the streatery in front of Il Canale, per supplemental materials received 6 February 2026, which indicate six tables, 21 faux rattan plastic chairs and five umbrellas, PROVIDED the rattan pattern is within the weave of the chair; the umbrellas do not exceed a canopy of 6.5 feet or overhang the sidewalk; and the existing sandwich board signage is removed. Please coordinate with the D.C. Public Space Committee regulations on adjacent sidewalk café. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design, including those made during DOB technical review, must be resubmitted to the Commission for approval prior to the issuance of a permit.
