Dear Ms. Fore:

The Commission of Fine Arts reviewed a reverse design for the 2005 Platinum Proof Coin at its 15 April meeting. There was no objection to the use of an eagle, but it was thought that the design was too fussy and should be greatly simplified.

We would be happy to look at another design when available.
