Letter
Dear Mr. Brangman:
In its meeting of 15 May, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed and approved the final design and material samples for the new Science Center building at Georgetown University (case number OG 08-159), complimenting the project team on the quality of the design. The Commission supported the recommendation of the Old Georgetown Board (enclosed) which includes the request to erect a material samples panel on site, facing south, for review by the Commission prior to ordering materials. Please consult with the staff concerning this request or if any further design modifications should arise.
As there was not a quorum during the review of this project, the Commission's recommendation will be placed on the agenda for ratification at its meeting of 19 June and will be forwarded to the District of Columbia government shortly thereafter. As always, the staff is available to assist you.
Sincerely,
