Letter
Dear Mr. McGill:
During its meeting of 15 July, the Commission reviewed and approved the final design for additions and renovations to the District of Columbia Old Courthouse, on Judiciary Square between D and E Streets. The architect is to be commended for the design which meets the requirement of creating a contemporary, accessible entrance while respecting the hierarchical relationship and historic character of the existing building. The Commission appreciates the efforts undertaken to collaborate with the National Law Enforcement Museum and encourages continued investigation of the final landscape design in coordination with their architect.
The Commission looks forward to the construction of this project and review of other projects for the General Services Administration. As always, the staff is available should you require guidance.
Sincerely,
/s/Frederick J. Lindstrom
