Letter

Dear Mr. O’Dell:

In its meeting of 15 March, the Commission of Fine Arts approved, based on its prior review of the submission materials, the concept design for a complex of temporary multipurpose sports fields to replace the existing Parking Lot #7, located at C Street, NE, along the Anacostia River, on the Robert F. Kennedy Stadium–Armory campus. The Commission delegated the review of the final design to the staff.

In their approval of the submission, the Commission members recommended further study of the design for the proposed bioretention areas to enlarge these features and better integrate them with the riparian edge of Kingman Lake and the Anacostia River. The Commission encourages the design team to continue to consult with the staff in preparing the final design submission.

Sincerely,

/s/Thomas E. Luebke, FAIA
