The Commission of Fine Arts appreciated the information presentation on the Northwest One Redevelopment Project at its meeting of 15 November. The Commission members commented favorably on the physical design as well as the effort to address the social conditions of the neighborhood. The presentation provided a helpful context for the Commission's subsequent review of the proposed Walker Jones School project that will include a public library and recreation center for the community.
The Commission will be pleased to assist as you develop projects for improving the District of Columbia and looks forward to commenting further on this and other proposals from your office.
