Dear Mr. Brown:
In its meeting of 15 November, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed and approved the final design for the H. D. Cooke Elementary School at 2525 17th Street, NW. The Commission members appreciated the design team's response to the comments made during the project's last presentation in July 2007.
If there are any subsequent changes made to the approved final design before construction begins, please consult with staff to determine if additional review will be required. Since materials samples were not available for presentation, a material sample panel should be erected on site for review before the final selection of materials is made. If you have any questions, the staff is available to assist you.
