Dear Ms. Gillis:
In its meeting of 16 November, the Commission of Fine Arts approved, based on its prior review of the submission materials, the concept design for the renovation of and additions to Maury Elementary School, located at 1250 Constitution Avenue, NE. In their approval, the Commission members recommended studying the design of the southeast corner of the proposed addition with the goal of improving the relationship among the elements of the facade.
The Commission encourages the design team to continue to consult with the staff in preparing the submission of the final design.
