Dear Ms. Mendelson-Ielmini:

In its public meeting of 17 September conducted by videoconference, the Commission of Fine Arts approved, based on its prior review of the submission materials, the final design for the text and graphics for the Wall of Remembrance to be added to the Korean War Veterans Memorial in West Potomac Park.

In its approval action, the Commission supported the project team’s preferred layout of names to be inscribed on the new Wall of Remembrance; the text and graphics for a new dedication panel adjacent to the existing one; and the alterations to the existing “United Nations Curb” and “Casualty Curb,” as shown in the submitted materials.

As always, the staff is available to assist you with future submissions.

Sincerely,

/s/Thomas E. Luebke, FAIA
