Letter
Dear Mr. Johnson:
During its 17 February 2005 meeting, the Commission reviewed a new revised design for the bridging at the top of the Egg-shaped Digester Facility proposed for the Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant. This final item, as presented, was a simplification of the structural configuration of the bridging that supports the catwalks around and between the tops of the individual digesters.
The members felt that this new bow-truss design represented a more honest structural system and a more stylistically appropriate form for this facility. They unanimously approved the design of the bridging as shown and, therefore the overall concept design for the facility.
We look forward to further review of this important project as the designs continue to develop. As always, the staff is available should you or the design team require guidance.
Sincerely,
/s/Frederick J. Linsstrom
