Letter

Dear Ms. O'Dell:

The staff of the Commission of Fine Arts has reviewed the final submission for the site design and the architectural construction documents for the proposed American Veterans Disable for Life Memorial.

The staff has no objection to this submission for the project, with the exception of the artwork and inscriptions, which must be submitted separately in the near future. With the authority delegated by the Commission at its meeting of 16 July 2009, we approve the submission for the site design and architectural construction documents for the memorial as documented in the drawings and materials received and dated 24 February 2011.

If there are any additional changes to the site or architectural design, please contact the staff to determine if additional review will be required. As always, the staff is available to assist you with future submissions.

Sincerely,

/s/Thomas E. Luebke, FAIA
