Letter
Dear Mr. Reyes-Gavilan:
In its meeting of 19 May, the Commission of Fine Arts approved, based on its prior review of the submission materials, a revised concept design for the new Cleveland Park Neighborhood Library at 3310 Connecticut Avenue, NW, with the following comments.
The Commission members recommended that the design team continue to refine the relationships among the building’s palette of exterior materials. They also recommended that the north courtyard be carefully studied in section and further developed to ensure that this sunken area is a comfortable and usable space for the library’s patrons and staff.
The Commission delegated review of the final design to the staff which, as always, is available to assist you.
Sincerely,
/s/Thomas E. Luebke, FAIA
