Dear Ms. Mendelson-Ielmini:
In its meeting of 20 February, the Commission of Fine Arts approved, based on its prior review of the submission materials, the final design for a temporary installation of eight poles with security cameras, proposed to be located on the National Mall between 3rd and 14th Streets, provided that the cameras and their associated equipment boxes and poles do not display graphics, logos, or insignia of any type.
The Commission appreciates the National Park Service's continued commitment to visitor safety on the National Mall and looks forward to the review of the design for a permanent installation in the future. If there are any changes to the proposal, please consult with the staff to determine if additional review is required.
