Recommendation

No objection to the concept design for the proposed replacement of an existing 250-foot-tall lattice antenna tower located at the northeast corner of the St. Elizabeths Hospital grounds with a new 250-foot-tall lattice antenna tower to support WMATA antennas, as shown in materials received and dated 6 February 2020. The proposal also includes an new equipment shelter, a 1,000 gallon propane tank, and a fence enclosure at the base of the new tower. The old lattice tower and an adjacent mono-pole will be removed once the new tower and its associated equipment are operational. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office.
