Dear Ms. Gillis:
In its meeting of 21 June, the Commission of Fine Arts approved, based on its prior review of the submission materials, the final designs for the installation of four public artworks on the grounds and the building exterior of the recently renovated and expanded Duke Ellington School of the Arts, located at 35th and R Streets, NW.
In its approval of the submission, the Commission expressed support for the placement of these artworks at the school and looks forward to their successful installations. If the designs are changed before the artworks are put in place, please consult with the staff to determine if additional review will be required.
