Dear Mr. Hollis:
In its public meeting of 22 January conducted by videoconference, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed alternative designs for a Congressional Gold Medal honoring U.S. Representative Shirley Chisholm.
The Commission members recommended obverse #1 and reverse #2, consistent with the preferences of the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee and the Mint’s liaison; however, they recommended keeping the inscriptions as presented.
