Dear Mr. Newton:
During its meeting of 25 January 2005, the Commission reviewed the Pentagon’s revised design for the new entrance pavilion to the library and conference center under the east end of the River Terrace. The members appreciated the design team’s efforts to improve the design of the pavilion’s security screening area by lowering its cornice and the additional detailing on the fencing. They unanimously approved the new scheme as presented.
If there are any additional changes to the design of the pavilion they should be submitted to the Commission for review. The Commission looks forward to the review of other projects for the renovation of the Pentagon. The staff is always available to assist you.
