Recommendation
The Commission regrets that sign and light fixtures were installed without review or permit. No objection to issuance of permit for non-illuminated sign composed of 11-inch high letters on fascia reading 'Bodega' PROVIDED additional letters be removed and replaced with applied letters at bottom of glass on shop windows. Projecting sign was NOT approved and was removed. Logos were not approved and must be removed no later than 31 October 2009 as well as the lights fixtures on the sides of the bay. Recommend filing new permit application to replace gooseneck light fixtures with smaller fixtures. Note is made that storefront and second floor balcony railing are in disrepair and in its present condition detract from the historic building. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the exterior design made during DCRA technical review must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval prior to issuance of permit.
