Recommend AGAINST issuance of permit for proposed barrel vault awning over entry door which is not compatible with the historic character of this building and not appropriate to the historic district. No objection to issuance of permit for a pole-mounted flag sign for Bookhill Bistro as shown in supplemental drawings dated 29 June July 2011 PROVIDED top and bottom brackets are as small as possible. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the exterior design made during DCRA technical review must be re-submitted to the Commission for approval prior to issuance of permit.
