No objection to concept design for a metal picket fence to replace wood picket fence on three sides of front yard as shown in supplemental drawings dated 18 April and 22 April 2014, provided that fence matches height of existing wood picket fences. The Commission regrets that flagpole and plaque were installed prior to review or permit. Recommend that flagpole and plaque, which are not appropriate in front yard of historic house and are not approved, be removed no later than 31 August 2014. File new submission at DCRA of detailed and dimensioned drawings for new fences and gates with permit application for review by the Commission.
