Letter
Dear Mr. Braunohler:
In the meeting of 20 April, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed and approved the concept for the proposed eleven-story office building at 801 17th Street, NW (SL 06-056). The Commission praised the installation of the proposed green roof and the design development of the building's street-level architectural expression. In its review of alternatives for the building's exterior articulation, the Commission supported the preference of the architect and approved Scheme D with its additional corner recesses.
The Commission looks forward to further review of this highly prominent project. As always, the staff is available to assist you in coordinating your next submission.
Sincerely,
Thomas Luebke, AIA
