Letter
Dear Mr. Pritchard:
In its meeting of 17 May, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed the proposal for signs for the Freedom Forum and Newseum to be located at 555 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW (case number SL 07-072). The Commission approved the street-level signs proposed at the building entrances but did not approve the large sign proposed for the front facade of the Newseum, which the Commission members decided would be inappropriate for the building and its location along the civic space of Pennsylvania Avenue.
The Commission looks forward to the completion of construction of this prominent and iconic project. As always, the staff is available to assist you.
Sincerely,
Thomas E. Luebke, AIA
