Letter
Dear Mr. Greenhalgh:
In its meeting of 18 September, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed the concept design for a proposed new office building adjacent to the Corcoran Gallery of Art. The Commission members noted the history of diverse designs previously approved for this site, including a design identical to the current proposal that was approved by the Commission twenty years ago. The Commission approved the concept submission, with the understanding that exterior revisions resulting from the new program and current trends in building design and technology will be submitted for review as the design progresses.
The Commission looks forward to further review of the design. As always, the staff is available to assist you.
Sincerely,
/s/Thomas E. Luebke, AIA
