Letter
Dear Mr. Van Norman:
In its meeting of 16 July, the Commission of Fine Arts reviewed the revised concept design for the renovation of and additions to the National Indian Gaming Association's headquarters in the historic Watterston House at 224 Second Street, SE (case number SL 09-090). The Commission members present recommended approval of the revised concept design; as there was not a quorum during the review of the project, this recommendation will be placed on the agenda for confirmation at the Commission's meeting of 17 September.
The Commission members commented that the revision of the site design at the street front, which they described as inviting, was an improvement and responsive to their suggestions made in the last review. The Commission looks forward to reviewing the final design in conjunction with the permit application. As always, the staff is available to assist you with the next submission.
Sincerely,
/s/Thomas E. Luebke, AIA
