No objection to the issuance of a permit for modifications to an existing hotel building, including the installation of replacement wall and canopy cladding and replacement light fixtures at the hotel and restaurant entrances; the installation of replacement planters at an existing sidewalk seating area in public space; and the installation of replacement furnishings, replacement lighting, and three new retractable awnings at an existing roof terrace, as shown in materials received and dated 3 July 2020, pending the receipt of supplemental materials. Signs shown in submitted drawings are not included in this review. Forward a separate submission for signs complying with the regulations for signs in the Shipstead-Luce Act area when ready. Refer to DC Historic Preservation Office. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design, including those made during DCRA technical review, must be resubmitted to the Commission for approval.
