No objection to the issuance of a permit for modifications to an existing building under construction for a restaurant tenant, including the relocation of two doors, the installation of new rooftop mechanical units, and the installation of outdoor seating and planters at a new at-grade patio and an existing second-floor balcony, as shown in materials received and dated 7 January 2022. Sign locations shown on the submitted drawings require CFA review and must comply with the sign regulations for the Shipstead-Luce Act area; sign designs are not included in this review. Forward a new and complete submission for signs that comply with the regulations for the Shipstead-Luce Act area when ready. Staff notes with regret that the base building permit was issued without referral for CFA review; permit applications at the District Wharf, including all water side buildings, require CFA review. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design, including those made during DCRA technical review, must be resubmitted to the Commission for approval.
