Recommendation
No objection to the issuance of a permit for the installation of twelve replacement panel antennas, six replacement remote radio heads, and three new remote radio heads on the roof of an existing building for Verizon, to be located within existing screening structures in the Alpha and Gamma sectors and mounted to an existing penthouse wall in the Beta sector, as shown in materials received and dated 2 June 2023, PROVIDED that the antennas and support structures in the Beta sector be painted to match the wall behind and PROVIDED that all antennas be mounted no higher than the antennas they are replacing. Staff notes with regret that the applicant is unable to relocate the existing Gamma sector facing Sixteenth Street to be less visible from Rock Creek Park. Note: Any subsequent modifications to the approved design, including those made during DOB technical review, must be resubmitted to the Commission for approval.
