No objection to the concept for exterior modifications to an existing building for The Occidental restaurant, including a replacement steel canopy with signage and an exterior patio seating area largely on National Park Service property, as shown in materials received and dated 3 May 2024, PROVIDED that the fabric of the umbrellas and chairs be a solid color instead of white and green stripes, pending confirmation from the National Park Service that the sidewalk seating area is acceptable, and pending the receipt of supplemental materials. The previously proposed replacement awnings without signage and two replacement sconce light fixtures have been removed from the scope of work. Refer to National Park Service.
