No objection to the concept for the demolition of a portico and the restoration of the original concrete canopy at an existing building, including either a canopy extension that matches the original material and profile (Option 1) or a modern extension in contrasting materials (Option 2), as shown in materials received and dated 2 May 2025, pending further consultation on the design and pending the receipt of supplemental materials. Recommend against a partial profile restoration (Option 1.1) due an awkward inconsistency with the original design intent. Note: This is a concept approval only. When ready, submit the permit drawings and a permit application to DOB for review by the Commission.
